World Snooker launches SMI community engagement initiative
In conjunction with Sports Marketing Intelligence (SMI), World Snooker has created a new online opinions community among their sport’s enthusiasts.
Known as ‘World Snooker Opinions’, the initiative will provide fans the chance to voice their thoughts about snooker, the sports industry and affiliated organisations.
The goal of the community will be to gain a better understanding of snooker supporters, in an effort to continually monitor and improve upon the overall sporting experience.
World Snooker’s Ivan Hirschowitz was looking forward to working more closely with the sports supporters through the newly launched initiative.
“We’re excited at the prospects the initiative provides in allowing the greater snooker community to have a say in the future of their sport,” he stated.
“With the support of the dedicated team at SMI, we believe World Snooker Opinions will help us to improve the supporter’s experiences as well as assist us in reaching our commercial goals.”
SMI’s New Business Director Mickael Gootjes was thrilled to be working with the body which runs snooker’s global circuit.
“Snooker is widely considered a prestigious sport and we’re delighted to be joining forces with their team,” he exclaimed.
“We’re looking forward to getting to know snooker fans and providing resources which can benefit their entire sports community. “
The online initiative will launch on Thursday 12th of January where members will be invited to provide information about their lifestyles, preferences and snooker experiences in the initial surveys.
